Manchrian Sika
(Cervus Nippon dybowskii)



Physical Description:

Dybowski Sika have a body length is 61” and there average height at the withers is 30” to 43”. Females weigh up to 180 to 200 lbs and bulls up to 240 to 350 lb. Trophy Sika have antlers 20” to 28” in beam length.



Reproduction:

Females give birth to a single calf per breeding season.
Gestation period last 221 days (7 months).



Native Range Land:

The Manchurian sika deer was formerly found in Manchuria (northeastern China), Korea, and the Russian Far East. Today it is likely to be extinct in China and Korea, but about 9,000 individuals still live in the sparsely populated areas of Primorsky Krai in Russia. There are many captive breeding programs in Europe, for hunting and meat, including Poland.
